First and foremost, we cannot review your grant if we dont receive it The
grants must be postmarked on or before August 1st, 2008 to be considered
for review No exceptions Also, feel free to follow up with us after you
have sent your grant to make sure weve received it Wed be happy to
verify that information for you

The Standard Form
The standard SCC grant application has seven question areas To assist the
SCC grant committee, please utilize as much space in the form as needed
Please refrain from using SEE ATTACHMENT in the standard form This makes
the grant application difficult to follow and adds additional paper that
could be misplaced or lost
TIP Be concise and specific in your answers to the questions A long
answer doesnt necessarily equate to a better answer
The Grant Questions
Project narrative: Be as specific as possible The project narrative should
reflect the proposed project
the funding will be used to support The
number of children served as it relates to the proposed project should be
included in this answer Information on the number of children served by
the project is paramount in the grant review process Please be as specific
in this answer as possible
Qualifications of Project Personnel and evaluation: Include the names,
titles, and credentials of the personnel that will be involved in the
proposed project outlined in the project narrative, as well as the
individuals who will be evaluating the success of the project- even if they
are the same in both questions
Project Duration: Give specific time-frames and projections for the future
of the program, including where additional funding may come from
Fiscal Information of Applicant Organization: Total operating income
information is needed, as well as a complete income and expense statement
for the 2007 and 2008 fiscal years, and 2009 if available This can be
attached Please indicate the items that you have included in your
application We are also asking for the financials of the specific project
for which you are requesting funding-this is the worksheet attached to the
application If this
project has been in existence in the past year, please
provide financials from last year as well

Record of past funding from Speedway Childrens Charities: If applicable to
your organization explain specifically in this section what past funding
from SCC was used for
Certification: It is very important that the signatures of the
organizations Board President or Authorizing Official and the Project
Coordinator are on the application Their name, position, and address must
also be included in this section to be considered for a grant
MOST IMPORTANTLY, THE DUE DATE FOR THE APPLICATION TO BE RECEIVED BY THE
SCC OFFICE IS POSTMARKED ON OR BEFORE
